Julie Basulto is a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed in the state of Florida since 2008. She is a qualified supervisor for the state of Florida in supervising Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Interns and Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns. Ms. Basulto attained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005 from St. Thomas University and has extensive experience in working with children and adolescents with severe behavioral and emotional problems. Ms. Basulto’s scope of practice includes working with child, adolescent, and adult survivors of child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and other traumas as well as working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer(LGBTQ) population. Additionally, she provides individual, couples, and family counseling and conducts community and outreach presentations as a means of advocating the needs of children and LGBTQ youth and their families. Ms. Basulto is nationally certified as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and is currently pursuing her PhD. in Counseling at Barry University in Miami, Florida.
