Ms. Grace Caldas is a Licensed Mental Health in the state of Florida. Most of her work has been with children, adolescents, and adults. After receiving her Bachelors Degree from the University of Miami, Ms. Caldas went on to earn her Master’s degree in Mental Health at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida. She completed her clinical practicum working with adolescents and adults diagnosed with chemical dependency, mood disorders, and behavioral issues. Moreover, Ms. Caldas is specialized in Hypnosis and Play Therapy. Hypnotherapy is used to re-connect with dissociated emotions and experiences that may be having a negative impact in the here and now presenting themselves in compulsive disorders, stress-related illness, fears, phobias, and anxiety disorders. This modality allows the person to have healthy expression of emotion. Play Therapy is used with children to help them express or act out their experiences, feelings, and problems by playing with dolls, toys, and other play material, under the guidance or observation of a therapist. Additionally, she is well versed in behavior modification techniques used with oppositional children and adolescents. Ms. Caldas areas of specialization are: Anxiety Disorder, Anger Management, Behavioral Issues, and Health Psychology. Personally, she is completing her doctoral internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the area of Health Psychology.
